According to media reports, the Thai state-owned telecommunications company TOT said it would accept the LTE network service testing requirements from infrastructure provider.
TOT’s licensed supplier AIS has began the LTE trials and used of Ericsson company’s equipment. TOT will use 20MHz bandwidth of its total spectrum 64MHz during the test.
In an interview, the TOT President AnontTubtiang said: “Testing will begin next month in Bangkok, and then expand to other major provinces.”
The regulatory agency authorized to 1800MHz frequency bands and 2.6HGz test, for 90 days, the test can be recycled. Currently the country has not conducted a formal LTE services spectrum auction, the auction is expected to be held as early as 2013 to 2014.
